The following training course contains material relevant to social economy enterprises in North Belfast, and beyond, who either want to explore the possibility of starting a trading arm to support their activities; who are undertaking the business start process, or indeed who are currently trading but wish to enhance their performance.
The training materials have been developed in a modular format – allowing you to work through the materials from start to finish as a course, or alternatively, enabling you to dip in and out of the sections and acquire the relevant information as you require it – in recognition that everyone will have different prior knowledge and experience!

This e-learning course has been initiated and managed by North Belfast Partnership, and funded under Measure 2.2 – “Developing the Social Economy and Community Businesses.” Recognising the outstanding work undertaken by social economy organisations in the North Belfast area, North Belfast Partnership is keen to support and encourage both the growth of existing social economy organizations and the the development of new ones. As such, it is hoped that this course will enable local social enterprises to perform better and boost their sustainability in the greatly reduced funding environment expected post 2006.
