6. Decide how you will judge the success of your marketing and sales
It is important that you try to measure the results you get from your marketing activities so you can gauge which methods were effective and might be worth using again – this information is especially important when you are paying for your advertisements, articles, signage etc. Many companies for example ask a telephone caller how they heard about them, they then get an idea of how many enquiries their ad in the Yellow Pages generates compared to the ad in the local newspaper!
